We focus on delivering fast, reliable maintenance service and keeping our communities clean, safe, and well-run. We’re looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Indianapolis team.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician will handle day-to-day maintenance needs across multiple properties, including minor unit turns, occupancy checks, lock change-outs, basic repairs, and routine property walks. This position plays a key role in maintaining building quality and supporting positive resident experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily maintenance work orders quickly and professionally.
- Conduct occupancy checks and document property conditions.
- Handle lock change-outs for move-ins, move-outs, evictions, and unit security.
- Perform regular property walks to identify safety issues, cleanliness concerns, and needed repairs.
- Diagnose and complete general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance repair.
- Assist with preventative maintenance (filters, smoke detectors, common area checks).
- Support exterior and grounds tasks: trash pickup, snow/ice removal, simple exterior repairs.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly track supplies.
- Communicate clearly with the property manager and team members.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of residential or commercial maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across multiple properties.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
- HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
