CakeBoxx Technologies is growing fast, and we’re building a premier team as we continue to expand our position as a leader in innovative supply chain solutions for the defense, aerospace, energy, and high-tech sectors. Our engineered containers and platforms support mission-critical programs worldwide, and we need a Technical Project Manager who can manage complex engineering and production projects with precision. This is a project management role with a strong engineering backbone. You’ll oversee programs from initiation through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, controlling schedules, managing risks, and ensuring technical and operational requirements are met. You will work closely with the Engineering Department to ensure the delivery of completed products that meet customer expectations and CakeBoxx quality standards.

What You’ll Do:
• Lead project planning activities including scope definition, WBS development, scheduling, and baseline creation
• Build and maintain detailed Gantt schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools
• Coordinate all execution phases across Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, PMO, vendors, and logistics partners
• Work closely with the Engineering Department to track design progress, drawings, BOMs, manufacturing requirements, and technical deliverables
• Work with vendors and supply chain partners to ensure proper sourcing and availability of BOM components, materials, and critical-path items
• Run recurring program reviews, action-item trackers, technical checkpoints, and stakeholder updates
• Manage project budgets, procurement milestones, risk registers, and change control
• Oversee fabrication, coatings, inspections, FAT, and delivery milestones
• Maintain configuration management and documentation control (SharePoint, Windchill, PMO systems)
• Support customer communications, SOW compliance, and reporting
• Identify schedule blockers early and drive mitigation plans
• Prepare clear status reports, dashboards, and executive updates

What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
• 3–7 years of technical project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, hardware development, or supply chain environments
• Strong proficiency with Gantt charts, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other scheduling tools
• Hands-on familiarity with manufacturing workflows, sourcing, fabrication, and quality processes
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical requirements
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering and operations teams
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in McLean, VA

U.S. Citizenship required

Bonus Skills:
• PMP or CAPM certification
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, energy, or high-tech industrial customers
• Familiarity with Windchill, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or other PLM/CAD tools
• Experience with earned value, critical path analysis, and contract deliverable tracking
• Customer-facing program coordination experience
