Convenience Store Manager Job Description
The Store Manager oversees the daily operations of the convenience store and fuel station, ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable performance. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.2. Hire, schedule, and manage employees; conduct performance reviews and, when necessary, handle terminations in alignment with company policy.3. Oversee inventory control: ordering, receiving, stocking, and shrink prevention.
4. Maintain accurate cash handling, deposits, and daily reconciliations.
5. Monitor sales performance, fuel operations, and implement promotions.6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
7. Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
8. Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and equipment functionality.9. Prepare reports on sales, labor, and inventory as required.
10. Work with corporate teams on goals, budgets, and audits.
Other Tasks Often Included
1. Handling vendor relationships (delivery drivers, product reps, service techs).
2. Training staff on age-restricted sales (tobacco, alcohol, lottery).
3. Fuel pump and forecourt oversight (spill kits, compliance checks).
4. Coordinating with corporate on goals, budgets, and audits.Experience is required
