Senior Transportation Engineer Opportunity


An established transportation engineering firm is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for their Oakland, CA team. This position offers a chance to work on impactful multimodal projects, contributing to more livable communities through Complete Streets, bikeway, and pedestrian facility designs. Key Responsibilities


As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you’ll lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams to deliver projects that include roadway reconfigurations, intersection redesigns, and bikeway/trail design. You will use software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and Synchro to produce high-quality work and leverage innovative approaches to create sustainable transportation networks. Projects range from multimodal corridor studies and safety plans to feasibility studies and streetscape designs. Your role will also involve business development and building client relationships across the region.


Position Requirements


- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Transportation Engineering

- PE license (California preferred)

- 10+ years in transportation engineering, including experience in concept design, cost estimates, and traffic studies

- 3+ years managing projects within a consulting or public sector setting

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Complete Streets design, safety measures, and MUTCD guidelines

- Experience in business development and leading project pursuits
