Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or similar role in schools preferred
- Understanding of working with elementary-aged children, especially those with cognitive disabilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing nature
- Commitment to providing respectful and inclusive support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist a 5th grade student with classroom activities and daily routines
- Implement teacher-developed instruction and strategies to support learning and independence
- Promote positive behavior, engagement, and academic growth
- Keep accurate notes and collaborate with educational staff
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
