Job DescriptionJob Title: Cleanroom Technician (Entry Level)Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cleanroom Technician to join our team in an entry-level position. This role involves operating molding, assembly, or packaging equipment as per product specifications to ensure high-quality output. You will undergo a training session from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm for the first week, after which you will transition to a night shift from 6 pm to 6 am on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

  • Operate molding, assembly, or packaging equipment according to product specifications.
  • Package and label products as per customer specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Report visual defects to the Cell Leader.
  • Enter daily production and scrap data into the BMS system.
  • Complete production and workstation documentation as required.
  • Move products to designated areas in WIP/airlocks.
  • Order components through SAP from the warehouse and scan WIP components with an RF gun.
  • Supply assembly machines with necessary components.
  • Complete LRPs, including opening and closing lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake-free.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to the 55 Standards daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Participate in lean initiatives and projects to improve processes.
  • Provide suggestions and actively participate in process improvements to eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Support and maintain all company policies, including ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP, and standard work procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Willingness to wear GMP attire.
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
  • Ability to stand and be on feet for the entire 12-hour shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in operating machinery.
  • Experience in assembly processes.
  • Experience with GMP standards.

Why Work Here?

This is a long-term and permanent role offering the opportunity to advance to a level 4 pay grade, with a salary increase to $25-$28. A 10% shift premium is available for night shifts, providing financial incentives for those who prefer working at night.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a cleanroom environment within facilities that manufacture products for the medical industry. You will be based in one of the two buildings located in Buffalo Grove or the new site in Libertyville. Adherence to GMP attire is mandatory, and you will be part of a team that values clean and organized workspaces.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
