Role Description The Line Striping Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sherman, TX. This position is responsible for preparing work sites, laying out markings according to project specifications, and operating striping equipment to apply paint and thermoplastic markings on parking lots, roadways, and other paved surfaces. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, setting up work zones, following safety procedures, and ensuring accurate measurements and clean lines. The technician will perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting to keep machinery in proper working condition. The role also involves communicating with team members and supervisors, documenting work performed, and maintaining a neat and organized work area.\n

- Candidates should possess troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills to keep striping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Candidates should possess maintenance & repair abilities to perform basic mechanical adjustments and minor fixes on tools and machinery.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills to verify line accuracy, spacing, and finish in accordance with project specifications.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills to coordinate with crew members, follow instructions, and report issues clearly.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift moderate loads, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic math and measurement skills for layout, spacing, and material usage calculations.
- Prior experience in construction, pavement maintenance, or a related trade is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
