Title: Transportation Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Renton, WA

Duration: 6M C2H

Shift: Four 10 hour shifts per week

Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr (overtime anticipated)

Start Date: ASAP

Interview process: 1 and done interviews

Background check: Physical (extensive), Drug Test, Drivers Test


Must-haves:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience transportation projects (Highway, airport, transit, etc.) required.
  • Inspection experience including traffic control, PCC and Asphalt paving, reinforced concrete, earthwork, hit mix asphalt, drainage and striping
  • Ability to work night/weekends shifts for an extended duration
  • Experience with writing reports and ability to read drawings/plans

Plusses:

  • WAQTC-Earth Embankment certifications preferred.
  • WSDOT experience preferred.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I preferred.

Day to day:

Insight Global is in search of Transportation Quality Assurance Inspectors to support a top Engineering firm in Redmond, WA. This position would be working on transportation quality assurance inspection and testing services team on several significant projects in the Seattle area. The main project is a new construction Highway (13 miles) with an overpass and toll road. This position is going to be fully out in the field. The main office is in Seattle, Washington.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily construction quality inspection/testing of day/night work operation to confirm the contractor is complying with the requirements of the contract plans and specifications
  • Prepare detailed Daily Inspection Reports, with photos, accurately reflecting the construction progress
  • Inspect and document materials acceptance
  • Maintain a good working relationship with contractor and client
