Role Description The Technician, Estimator, Project Manager Recon role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for performing restoration and reconstruction tasks, including on-site assessments of fire, water, smoke, and mold damage, and coordinating mitigation and repair activities. The individual will prepare detailed estimates, scope work, and manage projects from initial inspection through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with customers, insurance representatives, and subcontractors; documenting damage; tracking project progress; and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on job sites. The role also involves supporting team members in hands-on restoration work, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and providing clear, professional updates to clients throughout the restoration process.\n
Qualifications

  • Ability to perform on-site restoration and reconstruction tasks, including damage assessment, mitigation, and use of restoration equipment.
  • \n

  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing jobs from initiation through completion.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in estimating and scoping work, preparing detailed job estimates, and working with insurance adjusters and industry-standard estimating tools.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and customer service skills to explain work plans, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships with clients and partners.
  • \n

  • Capability to document job sites accurately, maintain records, and follow safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • \n

  • Prior experience in restoration, construction, or a related trade is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., IICRC) are a plus.
  • \n

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work on-site across the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as required, and to work in varying environmental conditions.
