About the Role
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee the regional AP team, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of supplier/vendor payments, while balancing cash optimisation.
- Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors and internal stakeholders, addressing payment inquiries and resolving any discrepancies.
- Lead the audit areas relating to the AP function.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls for all AP transactions.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Supervise the regional AR team in the timely reconciliation of payments from online and retail customers to sales, as well as follow up on discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for intercompany and other receivables.
- Lead the audit areas relating to the AP function.
- Business partnering with stakeholders to advise on accounting implications for new projects and initiatives.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Actively seek opportunities for process improvements within the AP and AR functions to enhance accuracy, efficiency and cost savings.
- Collaborate with other departments, including SAP and Operations, to automate tasks and improve data accuracy in financial reporting.
- Monitor the impact of process improvements, ensuring that new workflows contribute to overall business goals.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Team Leadership & Guidance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of juniors, providing coaching on finance operations best practices, technical knowledge, and professional growth.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of team management experience.
- A self-starter, proactive and hands-on.
- Ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience in SAP B1 will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in verbal and written Chinese is a plus.
