CDL Driver for a rear load trash truck

Job Description

Shelz Sanitation & Trucking is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Driver to operate a rear load trash truck on residential collection routes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced driver who is comfortable operating a large vehicle in residential neighborhoods, and around other vehicles and pedestrians. Experience driving a rear-load refuse truck is preferred, but will consider qualified CDL drivers with other heavy-truck experience.

Responsibilities include:

Safely operate a rear-load trash truck on assigned routes
Complete routes reliably and efficiently
Service trash, recycle, yard waste
Work safely, professionally and efficiently with the helpers riding on the truck
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Identify and report mechanical issues
Fuel equipment
Follow DOT regulations and company procedures
Keep the interior of the truck clean and professional

Qualifications include:

Valid Class B CDL
VALID DOT Medical Certificate
Acceptable driving record

Schedule:

Full-time position
0300 start - early morning
Monday through Friday (Occasional Saturday)
