Job DescriptionSalary: $20/hour
A service vehicle detailermeticulously cleans and restores the interior and exterior of vehicles using various tools and chemicals to remove dirt, stains, and minor imperfections. Responsibilities include washing, waxing, and polishing the exterior; vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing the interior; and operating equipment like buffers,steamers, and vacuums. Key requirements are an excellent attention to detail, strong customer service and communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the physical ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Exterior Cleaning: Washing, drying, and applying protective waxes and polishes to vehicle paint, chrome, and wheels.
- Interior Cleaning: Vacuuming, shampooing, steaming, and deodorizing upholstery and carpets to remove debris, stains, and odors.
- Paint & Surface Restoration: Polishing paint to restore shine and, in some cases, making minor repairs or touch-ups to address minor paint issues.
- Glass Treatment: Cleaning and treating vehicle windows to improve their appearance and functionality.
- Vehicle Movement: Operating a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions, to move them around the lot.
- Supply Management: Maintaining and organizing detail supplies, and potentially reordering them as needed.

- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach is essential for identifying and addressing finer points of cleanliness and presentation.
- Customer Service: Professionalism and friendly interaction are necessary, including communicating with customers about their vehicles and detailing services.
- Communication: The ability to convey information clearly to customers and supervisors, and to receive instructions.
- Driving Skills: Proficiency in operating various vehicles and possessing a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to perform manual labor, including bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of Products: Familiarity with detailing tools, chemicals, and safety protocols for their use.
