Your work will involve designing and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs that focus on restoring function, promoting independence, and adapting environments to meet patient needs. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure comprehensive care that addresses both physical and sensory integration challenges. Ultimately, your efforts will empower patients to achieve their highest level of autonomy and well-being in their personal and community lives.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and strategies to enhance daily living activities.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills:

The required skills in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and rehabilitation are essential for evaluating patient needs and designing effective treatment plans that promote recovery and independence. Geriatric rehabilitation expertise allows you to address the unique challenges faced by older adults, while knowledge of cerebral palsy and orthopedic rehabilitation enables tailored interventions for specific conditions. Sensory integration skills are applied daily to help patients manage sensory processing issues that affect their functional abilities. Experience with traumatic brain injury and stroke rehabilitation ensures comprehensive care for patients with complex neurological impairments.
