Job Description
As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Mc Intyre, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence supports a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and communication to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols and play a key role in fostering a positive, people-first atmosphere. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity within the location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions related to chemical and petrochemical operations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors to address questions or direct them as needed.
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Remain alert to potential hazards and follow established procedures when responding to alarms or emergencies specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
