Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This entry-level position involves working with laser or waterjet machines to cut wood used in creating rotary and flat dies. The role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in machining, and training will be provided. Candidates should be comfortable with lifting up to 75 pounds and have a good understanding of rulers and measurements.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser or waterjet machines to cut wood for rotary and flat dies.
- Lift and load wood materials weighing up to 75 pounds into machines.
- Maintain accuracy in measurements and cuts.
- Ensure safe and efficient machine operation.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of machine operation experience
- Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly
- Proficiency with rulers and measurements
- Trainable with a strong desire to learn
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with blueprints
- Familiarity with laser operation
- General computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience in manufacturing environments

Work Environment
Work in a large, clean, and organized production shop that is well-lit and temperature-controlled. The environment smells like burning wood and glue and hosts about 20-25 people on the production floor. Everything is highly trainable, and you will be working on the 1st shift with hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
