IT Manager – 5-STAR Building Solutions & On-Deck Framing
Location: 5-STAR Building Solutions office, Kennesaw, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: IT Director
Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000/year (Depending on experience, certifications, and technical depth)

Position Overview
The IT Manager will oversee all hands-on aspects of our IT operations, supporting both 5-STAR Building Solutions operations and On-Deck Framing innovations. This role is critical to maintaining secure, efficient, and scalable technology systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Networking
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory
- Manage office networking systems
- Coordinate with managed services partners for network and workstation support
- Device & Endpoint Management
- Manage iPads and other mobile devices using MDM platforms
- Oversee smart locks, AV systems, and other connected devices
- User Lifecycle & Support
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and device provisioning
- Provide end-user support across hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Maintain documentation on network and technology assets
- Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement and monitor endpoint protection, firewalls, and threat detection systems
- Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and industry best practices
- Software & Application Management
- Install and update company software and hardware
- Support desktop and cloud-based applications, including Office 365, ABM, and custom apps
- Assist with custom development projects using JavaScript and APIs for SaaS platforms
- Training & Documentation
- Assist in creating and maintaining training materials and process documentation for IT processes
- Technical Projects
- Assist with technical projects as assigned by leadership including but not limited to projects that advance our SaaS platform integrations, computerized saws, and digital inventory efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or IT management
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, JavaScript, and MDM solutions
- Experience managing Apple devices (iPads, iPhones)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in construction or distribution industries is a plus
