Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Field Service Technician based in Evansville, IN to install, service, and support automatic unloading equipment and custom automation solutions for injection molding customers throughout the tri-state area, and potentially across North America. This role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining equipment uptime, and upholding our reputation in the industrial automation space.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission automatic unloading equipment and custom automation at customer manufacturing sites, ensuring systems meet specifications and company standards.
- Respond to service calls to diagnose, repair, and adjust equipment, using specialized gauges and electrical equipment.
- Conduct hands-on training for customer employees on equipment operation and maintenance, and provide remote technical support via phone and email.
- Complete service reports, installation documentation, and warranty paperwork, while communicating product issues and customer feedback to internal teams.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment, including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, and sensors.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, translating them into physical installations and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer communication skills to explain technical issues and conduct training sessions.
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, work in various positions, and handle demanding work environments.
- Adaptability to travel extensively, managing schedules and working independently in diverse customer environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PLC programming knowledge for on-site adjustments to automation sequences.
- Familiarity with industrial robotics, servo systems, and welding or fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems.
- High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of industrial technical experience required. Technical school or associate degree preferred.
- Industry certifications in OSHA safety, electrical, and pneumatics/hydraulics are a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record is mandatory.

Work Environment
Most work occurs at customer manufacturing sites, involving industrial settings with moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. The role demands physical work, often in elevated positions and with exposure to fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards. Expect to travel 3-4 nights per week throughout Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and potentially North America. The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday with potential overtime. Company-provided work polos and steel-toed boots are required, along with PPE at customer sites. You will work independently at customer sites, representing the company and making critical decisions.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $76960.00/yr.
