JOB SUMMARY

Support Rimrock’s quality initiatives by demonstrating awareness of regulatory guidelines, CARF, and State or Federal Standards; ensure adherence to guidelines and standards by auditing charts/records; and coach staff to improve quality documentation and record management processes, as it relates to guidelines and standards. In addition, manage incoming requests for information, ensure request is compliant with standards/regulations, and process request.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, CARF, and agency standards/rules/regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR. Support staff in understanding and adhering to standards.
  • Within defined timelines, process assigned routine chart audits, quality/in-depth chart reviews, and disclosure requests.
  • Report out on findings, trends, and outcomes of audits to appropriate personnel.
  • Based on audit results and/or other concerns, coach identified staff in quality and compliance standards and practices. On an ongoing basis, support staff as it relates to understanding guidelines/standards/regulations and Rimrock’s quality improvement efforts.
  • Other duties, such as answering phones, scanning documents, processing messages and other requests for information, and assisting walk-in clients to complete requested tasks, such as completing a Release of Information or fulfilling a records request.

Models professionalism by addressing others with appropriate actions, appearance, and communication. Models and promotes effective written and verbal communication. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.
  8. Customer Service – Supports the organization’s customer service initiative. Strives for service excellence by seeking challenges and turning them into opportunities. Anticipates and meets needs of patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Displays a friendly, helpful, and approachable demeanor. Obtains feedback from patients regarding their perceptions of the service provided to them and utilizes this information to improve service delivery.

  10. Quality Improvement – Assures that information is collected, organized, reported and used to improve the quality of systems and services. EDUCATION/TRAINING

High School Diploma is required. Must have experience learning computer systems/software and navigating and managing databases.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Office), particularly Excel, Forms, Teams, Word, Outlook, and One Drive. Able to perform basic troubleshooting of technology and systems/software. Excellent analytical, computer, data entry skills.
  • Must be able to communicate across disciplines and programs within the organization. Must be able to work independently and as a team.
  • Must be able to self-organize, prioritize, and adjust, and problem-solve, as required by shifting requests, projects, and due dates.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential solutions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping, is required.
  • A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of keyboard/computer, reaching with hands and arms, communicating and exchanging information. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing.
  • View, identify, and focus on information at varied distances.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATION

  • Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room, and/or client care areas.
  • Work may involve mental and emotional stress.
  • Some driving may be required.
  • Work is primarily in an office setting, with the ability to work remotely, upon request.
  • If remote work is requested, you must have your own private/secure workspace and internet connection.
