Our client is seeking a Network Architect to design, implement, and oversee the network and platform infrastructure supporting the modernization of the end customer's Client Management System. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network architecture, cloud integration, and security, with the ability to support phased modernization while ensuring legacy system compatibility and continuous operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect network and platform infrastructure to support the modernization of the Client Management System.

  • Ensure seamless integration of new network components with the existing Azure commercial infrastructure.

  • Develop strategies to maintain backwards compatibility between legacy and modernized systems throughout phased deployment.

  • Implement best practices in network security, compliance, and governance, aligned with federal IT standards.

  • Oversee interconnections between systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and secure data transfer.

  • Collaborate with system architects, software engineers, and program managers to align network design with application and data requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, providing expert technical support during development and production operations.

  • Document network architecture, policies, and procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field (from an accredited institution).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Network Architect on complex IT modernization or system integration projects.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing secure, scalable networks in hybrid or cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking services, cloud interconnects, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Experience with network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with federal IT compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

· Paid time off will initially be accrued at a rate of 6.33 hours per semi-monthly pay period, for a total of 19 days/152 hours annually for the first two years.
