We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team.Job DetailsSalary: From $75,000 to $200,000 per yearJob Type: Full TimeLocation: Bedford Hills, NY 15522Position OverviewThe Diesel Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing diesel vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, performing repairs to factory standards, and contributing to high customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional communication.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair work on diesel vehicles following dealership and factory standards.Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning.Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.Communicate technical diagnoses and repair needs to service advisors and customers in clear, non-technical language.Participate in ongoing technical training to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies.Inspect and test new vehicles, recording findings to ensure necessary repairs are completed.Work Environment and ScheduleFlexible work schedule options including a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.New heavy-duty lifts recently added to the facility.Support for tool transportation via tow truck available.
Job Requirement:QualificationsFactory Diesel Certification is highly preferred; all certified technicians are encouraged to apply.Recent graduates from technical schools are welcome to apply.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Experience with shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignments, diagnostics, and AC service tools.Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of current automotive technologies.Team-oriented, flexible, and customer-service focused attitude.Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.Ability to read and understand instructions and exercise sound judgment.Commitment to a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employment.
