We are seeking an experienced and safety-oriented ISA Certified Arborist / Crew Leader to oversee and execute a high-profile hazardous tree removal project along the George Washington Memorial Parkway. This role requires a skilled climber and bucket operator who can lead a crew, manage complex rigging scenarios, and ensure minimal impact on the surrounding historic and high-traffic landscape. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale vertical crane extractions and handling high-risk tree removals. Must be comfortable working in high-visibility areas with strict environmental adherence and potential traffic-control coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Hazard Assessment: Evaluate target trees to determine the safest and most efficient removal method (climbing, bucket truck, or crane extraction).
- Crew Leadership: Direct ground crew members on rigging setups, drop zones, and safety perimeters.
- Precision Cutting & Climbing: Perform high-climb rigging, structural pruning, and sectional tree takedowns using advanced rigging techniques.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery, including bucket trucks, commercial chippers, stump grinders, and large-capacity chainsaws.
- Traffic & Site Safety: Ensure all operations comply with strict safety protocols, including managing active drop zones near pedestrian and traffic areas.
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- ISA Certification: Must be an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist (ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist preferred).
- Safety Credentials: OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry/Construction card.
- First Aid: Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) preferred to transport heavy equipment.
- Experience: 3–5 years of commercial tree care experience focusing on hazardous removals and advanced rigging.
