Our client is a global provider of electronic and digital device services. They are expanding into servicing and validating the boards, interconnects, and infrastructure that power rack-scale AI systems, putting it at the intersection of legacy hardware repair and next-generation AI infrastructure support.
\n
\n
They're looking for a Controller to lead the accounting function during a period of significant transformation, including a move to a modern ERP system and a broader push toward automation and process improvement. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the VP of Finance and Accounting, with a clear path to grow as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

- Own the day-to-day accounting function, including AP, AR, billing, general ledger, fixed assets, and account reconciliations
- Lead and develop a team of 6-7 direct reports, plus an inventory team of 3-4 responsible for cycle counts and tracking on a large consigned inventory portfolio
- Drive the month-end close process, replacing manual, spreadsheet-heavy workflows with automated, scalable processes
- Partner with leadership on the transition to a new ERP system and broader technology modernization efforts
- Establish and maintain accounting controls and procedures in compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and SEC requirements
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, along with analysis of assets, liabilities, cash position, and other key financial results
- Manage the annual audit process and implement recommendations to strengthen controls
- Document policies and procedures to support audit readiness and internal controls
- Identify and lead opportunities to bring automation and AI into accounting workflows
- Oversee tax processes and compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and business leaders to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
- Manage performance, training, and development for the accounting team
- Take on additional department leadership responsibilities, including backfilling a retiring accounting manager role over time

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA required
- 4+ years of experience managing an accounting or billing team
- Big 4 or public accounting background preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and system implementations; familiarity with Great Plains a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Demonstrated success driving process improvement and automation initiatives
- Comfortable operating independently with limited day-to-day oversight
