Job Description
The Aerospace Paint Technician is responsible for applying paint to panels and lenses, ensuring that the application meets customer photometric and color specifications. The role involves improving products and processes, participating in quality improvement teams, and ensuring on-time delivery by maintaining productivity and following department schedules.
Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time delivery to the customer by maintaining productivity and following department schedules.
- Recommend ways to save money and cut unnecessary costs.
- Satisfy the needs of internal and external customers by responding to requests and building productive customer relations.
- Balance color and appearance on lighted displays.
- Mix and apply paint to meet color requirements using a photometer and Minolta.
- Understand parts, including clearing light holes, coloring, and tilting lamps to meet customer specifications.
- Sand panels to meet brightness requirements.
- Read and plot color charts accurately.
Essential Skills
- Experience in painting, paint mixing and matching software.
- Proficiency in using a spray gun, paint sprayer, and paint application techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with small part hand painting in aerospace, automotive, nail technician, or Warhammer figurines.
- Ability to operate a photometer.
- Skill in mixing paint and applying spray paint to meet customer specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in handling chemicals and cleaning small spills.
- Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Adaptability to change and handling additional duties as required.
- Accuracy in completing all related paperwork and wanding.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
