Position Summary

The Custodian role provides entry-level support for the daily cleanliness, maintenance, and safe operation of company buildings, grounds, and facility systems across all locations. This role assists with routine facility tasks, vendor coordination, and safety compliance activities to ensure a clean, safe, and functional work environment. The position is ideal for an individual looking to develop skills in facilities operations and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cleanliness and organization of facilities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Completes daily cleaning task of office and restrooms areas.
  • Assist with routine inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety equipment, and waste management.
  • Travel to remote offices or showrooms as needed to assist with inspections, maintenance coordination, and general upkeep.
  • Assist in coordinating with facility service providers such as cleaning crews, landscaping, sprinkler services, and maintenance vendors.

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety practices, including hazard reporting and safe use of tools or equipment.
  • Basic experience using Microsoft Excel and standard office software for tracking, recordkeeping, or communication.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, work with limited supervision, and complete tas ks reliably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse staff, office personnel, and external vendors.
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision while following established procedures.

Skills & Competencies

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience supporting facility operations, building maintenance, or warehouse environments.
  • Experience coordinating or working with external vendors (cleaning, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other service providers).
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety equipment, or fire/life safety systems.
  • Experience working in multi-site or remote facility locations.
  • Prior use of CMMS, maintenance tracking systems, or service request software (preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated interest in growing a career in facilities management or workplace safety.

Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
