We are a thriving acupuncture and wellness clinic in Redwood City seeking a reliable, friendly, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to support our growing practice.
This is a part-time position with room to grow, as we are currently expanding our team of acupuncturists and massage therapists.

Position Details:
- Job Type: Part-time (Contract)
- Schedule: Approx. 15–20 hours/week to start, with potential to grow
- Pay Range: $23 – $30 per hour, depending on experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required)
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of front desk or administrative experience in a healthcare or wellness setting (preferred)

Compensation:
$23 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Give every employee, client, and visitor a warm welcome at the front desk and communicate any important information or directions
- Assure incoming and outgoing mail is managed appropriately and handle deliveries
- Answer phone calls and emails and communicate relevant information to the appropriate parties
- Ensure the security of the building by having visitors follow necessary sign-in protocol
- Assist with other administrative tasks, such as data entry, copying, filing etc.
- Schedule and manage appointments between patients and practitioners.
- Assisting practitioners when they are busy with treatment room maintenance and cleaning cups, and various tasks.
- Manage social media for the practice, including Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, etc.
Qualifications:
- Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skills
- High school graduate, G.E.D. recipient, or equivalent
- 1 year of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, guest service specialist, or similar position preferred
- Three or more years of service in a variety of front office roles in the medical field.
- Highly motivated, customer service-oriented personality who understands the value of the "patient experience".
- In-depth understanding of how to productively schedule patients.
- Exceptional communication skills- both conversational and written.
- History of meeting goals/ deadlines as well as performing well under pressure.
- Knowledge of general computer skills, including Google Sheets.
- Ability to learn new computer skills, namely our EMR called Jane.
- Incredible organizational skills on both the computer and with the files.
- Strong desire to be an integral part of a team.
- Social Media Skills.
