We are seeking a professional, bright, and friendly Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Receptionist with excellent people and communication skills to join our team!

This position is a temp-to-hire opportunity. The temporary period is 30 days, with limited benefits. A permanent placement will take place after an evaluation of skills, reliability, and culture fit.

We aim for continuity, always trying to have each patient see their “own” doctor and nurse at each visit. By always seeing the same doctor and nurse, the children and their parents become quite comfortable and form long-term relationships with their care providers. We love getting to know our patients and their families.

We are committed to facilitating excellent communication between our patients and their pediatrician and nurse. One of our physicians is available 24/7 and we are open 365 days/year.

Front Desk receptionist responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome everyone that enters the office.

• Check-in patients and maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information.

• Schedule appointments in person or by telephone

• Answer calls and take accurate, concise phone messages.

• Manage front desk email account

· Filing and retrieving patient records.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED (required)

· Recent medical office front desk experience

· Working knowledge of multi-line phone system

• Familiarity with medical software and equipment

• Strong understanding of Microsoft outlook

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and staff

• Strong problem solving, detailed-oriented, and critical thinking skills

· Knowledge of HIPAA standards.

· Ability to sort and file materials correctly in alphabetical or numerical order

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and contribute ideas

• Ability to commit for a minimum of two years

Physical requirements:

· Sitting, with some standing, stooping, kneeling and crouching

· Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.

Hours:

Monday – Friday patient care hours are 9am to 5pm, staff is expected to arrive by 8:45am and can often leave by 5:15pm if their daily work is done.
