Our law firm is seeking a skilled and successful personal injury attorney to join our growing team and help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. Our ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, have excellent credentials, a passion for helping people, and a minimum of a year of successful personal injury case experience. Compensation:
$70,000 - $135,000 salary + bonuses
Responsibilities:
- Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
- Delegate tasks and manage a team of litigation paralegals, legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, and legal secretary
- Review, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Govern personal injury case files from inception to completion
- Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
Qualifications:
- Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred
- Proficiency in computers is vital
- Three years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is a necessity
- Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Florida licensed attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Self-starter, driven by long-term career goals
- Superior oral and written advocacy skills
- Team oriented
