Job DescriptionSr. Maintenance Technician Position Overview
We are seeking Technicians of all levels with food and beverage experience, specifically within industrial baking environments.
Our maintenance technicians are responsible for ensuring reliable operation and uptime of production equipment in a food manufacturing environment through electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, predictive and preventative maintenance, basic PLC programming and structured root cause analysis. This role supports continious improvement, safety compliance and efficient repair and maintenance practices to meet production targets and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control panels and motor systems.

Repair mechanical components including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systems.

Execute predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, thermography, and laser alignment.

Perform basic PLC programming, logic debugging, and automated process testing.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat equipment failures.

Manage work orders and preventive schedules using CMMS (Maximo/SAP/Infor).

Maintain VFDs, relays, and motor wiring for systems up to 480V.

Enforce OSHA, NFPA, LOTO, and site-specific food safety protocols.
Qualifications

High school diploma; technical degree or maintenance apprenticeship preferred.

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in food or process manufacturing.

Expertise in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.

Proficiency in PLC logic, control schematics, and VFD installation.

Experience managing preventive maintenance through modern CMMS platforms.

Strong knowledge of LOTO, NFPA/OSHA standards, and food safety compliance.

Ability to lift heavy equipment and support on-call rotation shifts.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with Allen-Bradley/Siemens controllers and advanced instrumentation calibration.

Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG), fabrication, pipefitting, and hydraulic repair.

Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, and industrial lubrication practices.

Certifications in crane rigging, forklift operation, or TPM/Lean maintenance.
