We are seeking a skilled furniture assembler to join our Albany team. This permanent position involves installing office furniture and furniture for large construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over one year of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, or related fields, and will be responsible for transporting, assembling, and installing office furniture.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and unload office furniture at job sites.
- Assemble and install desks, chairs, cubicles, shelving, and cabinets according to specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed furniture.
- Follow blueprints, installation guides, and client instructions for accurate placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of packaging materials properly.
- Use hand and power tools safely for assembly and installation.
- Communicate with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including lifting techniques and workspace precautions.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, manufacturing assembly, roofing, landscaping, or related fields.
- Experience operating a box truck or a large delivery truck.
- Clean driving record.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel regionally throughout NY.
- Reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in furniture installation, carpentry, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture safely.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Work Environment
Work typically occurs indoors in office buildings, with some warehouse work or occasional outdoor loading/unloading. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with overtime during the week and on Saturdays. Candidates will have their own room during occasional overnight travel, with hotel or per diem covered. PPE is provided and must be worn at all times; candidates must supply their own steel toe/safety toe boots, work pants/jeans, and non-graphic t-shirts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
