POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior (Sr.) Delivery Manager is responsible for managing project work as defined by the client contract and ensuring delivery meets client expectations for scope, schedule, cost, and quality. This role leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large programs, providing delivery leadership, technical coordination, and client engagement in support of mission-critical IT initiatives.
The Sr. Delivery Manager oversees end-to-end project execution, ensuring solutions are delivered in compliance with federal standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks. This role serves as a key interface between government stakeholders and technical teams, translating mission needs into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage medium to large complex IT projects and major phases of enterprise-scale programs in accordance with contract requirements.
- Provide end-to-end delivery management, including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closeout.
- Manage fact-finding, analysis, and development of recommendations, including preparation of reports, briefings, and executive-level presentations.
- Serve as the primary interface with Government stakeholders, including the Government Program Manager (GPM) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
- Establish, manage, and report againstService Level Agreements (SLAs) and delivery performance metrics.
- Translate customer strategic initiatives intofunctional capabilities and IT requirements, identifying gaps, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and integrate efforts across technical teams supporting enterprise collaboration, CRM, and related IT services.
- Ensure delivery aligns with cost, schedule, performance, quality, and compliance objectives, including federal security and governance requirements.
- Provide delivery oversight across system planning, design, implementation, deployment, modernization, and decommissioning activities.
- Support governance, risk management, and authorization activities, including ATO-related processes and compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DoD/DISA policies.
- Monitor project health through schedule tracking, risk management, and performance reporting.
- Embed continuous improvement, quality assurance, and operational efficiency into delivery processes.
- Lead and mentor project and technical teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Apply structured project and service management practices aligned with PMBOK, ITIL, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, including delivery leadership for medium to large complex projects or major phases of enterprise programs
- Demonstrated experience managing full project lifecycle delivery in a federal environment
- Proven ability to manage technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience translating government mission objectives into executable technical plans and measurable outcomes
- Experience with enterprise collaboration and CRM platforms, including SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Strong experience communicating with and briefing senior government leadership
- Experience operating within federal governance, compliance, and security frameworks, including FISMA, NIST, and ATO-related processes
- Hands-on experience applying PMBOK, ITIL, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, Microsoft certifications)
- Experience supporting DoD or DISA environments
- Experience leading IT modernization initiatives, including cloud or automation efforts
- Prior experience in Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Consultant roles supporting federal clients
