A leading national law firm with a well-established healthcare transactions practice is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate to join its corporate healthcare team.
This role is well-suited for an associate with significant deal experience in the healthcare space, particularly healthcare M&A. Candidates with a broader corporate or M&A background and some exposure to healthcare matters will also be considered, provided they have a clear interest in focusing their practice on healthcare transactions.
The Role
The associate will support a wide range of transactional matters involving healthcare companies and healthcare-focused investors. The work includes:
- Mergers and acquisitions involving healthcare organizations
- Private equity and strategic investment transactions
- Joint ventures and other complex commercial arrangements
- Ongoing corporate matters tied to healthcare operations and growth
The practice advises clients across multiple segments of the healthcare industry, including provider groups, managed care, digital health, and emerging healthcare platforms.

Associates work closely with partners on sophisticated transactions in a team-oriented setting that emphasizes practical training, mentorship, and increasing responsibility over time. The group is known for offering meaningful deal exposure and a clear path for professional development.
Location
This position is open in to candidates in the Bay Area and Southern California.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 6–7 years of transactional experience
- Strong background in M healthcare transactions experience preferred
- Comfortable taking ownership of deal components and interacting with clients
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Solid academic credentials
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and aligned with top Am Law firms, with an anticipated base salary range of $390,000–$420,000, depending on experience and location.
