Looking for an Assistant Manager in one of the most popular area for skiers around the world!

SALES:

  1. Trains store employees to increase sales by greeting, engaging with the customer, giving information on products and promotions, encouraging multiple purchases, and providing fast and accurate check-out.
  2. Ensures that all store employees are meeting expectations of excellent customer service, sales and use coaching, training, counseling and the disciplinary process as necessary to address problems and improve performance.
  3. Resolves customer complaints and works to develop solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  4. Monitors the sales floor and adjusts staff deployment to provide the best service for customers and to comply with business needs.
  5. Is able to use all register functions, trains employees to use the register, maintains register accuracy, investigates discrepancies, makes change from safe to register and deploys backup register systems when necessary during computer shutdowns.
  6. Approves customer returns, exchanges and discounted sales.
  7. Creates schedules that align with sales goals and provides adequate coverage for store needs.
  8. Achieves financial objectives by informing sales staff of sales goals and opportunities, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions where appropriate.
  9. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in positions that need service requirements.

PEOPLE:

  1. Provides training and orientation to employees on customer service, register functions, product knowledge, stocking, maintaining store appearance, store policy, merchandise specific training and other tasks.
  2. Provides objective feedback to the management on employee performance and contributes to employee reviews.
  3. Monitors staff adherence to the schedule and records any changes or deviations from the published schedule.
  4. Maintains and submits reports and records on time; including schedules, payroll reports, bonus sales, incident reports, etc.
  5. Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment, addressing injuries according to policy and knowing the emergency procedures.
  6. Trains staff to address shoplifting incidents safely and effectively, takes steps as necessary to protect staff and product, and reports and document all incidents of loss.
  7. Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

PRODUCT:

  1. Maintains appropriate levels of stock on shelves by bringing in more merchandise from warehouse areas, by placing orders, or by requesting transfers from other stores.
  2. Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  3. Maintains inventory, has buy-in on re-ordering merchandise and ensuring that orders are placed on time and adjusted according to the season.
  4. Maintains inventory, gives input for re-ordering merchandise.
  5. Monitors the anticipated shipment dates of orders to ensure that they are delivered, received, and placed on the floor in a timely manner.
  6. Markets merchandise by studying advertising, promoting sales, studying trends, reviewing departmental sales records, organizing display plans, authorizing clearance sales and analyzing profitability ratios.
  7. Formulates pricing procedures by reviewing merchandise activities and determining additional needed sales promotions.
  8. Ensures that product and displays are full, ideally placed, merchandized correctly, and that the signs and labels are clear and correct.
  9. Meets deadlines for projects by assigning staff, providing guidance, and following up.
  10. Analyzes the merchandising and sales reports in order to find ways to improve sales by adjusting the arrangement and stock of goods.
  11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and product knowledge and product meetings with vendors.
  12. Assures that appropriate staff ships items by verifying and identifying information and the quantity and condition of items. Ensures the items are packaged correctly, documented, shipped and tracked.
