Position Overview

We are a customer-focused, community-driven wine and spirits shop seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Retail Associate. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations. Ideal candidates have a passion for wine, beer, and spirits and enjoy creating a welcoming, educational shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product recommendations
• Assist customers with wine, beer, and spirits selection based on preferences and budget
• Operate POS system and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain clean, organized displays
• Receive and check in deliveries
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and promotions
• Support in-store tastings, events, and customer engagement initiatives
• Maintain knowledge of current products, trends, and seasonal offerings
• Follow all local and state alcohol sales regulations
• Help prevent loss through awareness and adherence to store policies

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ (or per state law)
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Interest or knowledge in wine, craft beer, and/or spirits strongly preferred
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
