In this role, you will provide targeted, one-on-one support for a rising 4th grader and rising 7th grader, helping them grow academically while building the habits and confidence needed for long-term success. This is an opportunity for an educator who brings a patient, structured, and strengths-based approach and understands how learning differences and executive-functioning needs can shape a student’s experience in school.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic support once per week.
- Strengthen foundational math skills and help build student confidence.
- Develop organization, planning, and study habits.
- Support ELA skill development using dyslexia-informed strategies.
- Help the student prepare for increasingly rigorous middle school coursework.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education, special education, psychology, or a related field.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience with middle school students required.
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia, executive-functioning needs, or diverse learning profiles strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of foundational math and ELA instruction.
- Ability to provide patient, structured, strengths-based support.
- Experience communicating with parents or families about student progress, learning plans, or weekly updates.
- Able to commit to consistent weekly tutoring sessions.
- Eligible to work in the United States.

Frequency: Once per week
Compensation: $50–$80 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
