We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform a variety of assembly and production tasks to support the manufacturing of high-quality medical devices and components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a regulated environment, following detailed instructions, and maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of production assembly operations ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Assemble components such as modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, cables, drawers, and other medical device products.
- Follow visual aids, process layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal work instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately.
- Set up initial assembly layouts and prepare materials for production.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and saws safely and effectively.
- Conduct continuity checks and basic testing on work-in-process and completed assemblies.
- Perform quality inspections during various stages of production to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and report product defects, process issues, or quality concerns.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies or subassemblies as required.
- Assist with prototype and experimental builds by assembling and testing products according to specifications and simulated operating conditions.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or medical device experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for fine motor assembly work.
- Ability to lift and move materials.
- Good visual acuity for detailed inspection and assembly tasks.
Shift Schedules
- First, Second, and Third shift available
Benefits
