A prestigious global law firm is seeking a Legal Talent Manager to join its high-performing Legal Talent team. This role partners closely with firm leadership and attorneys to oversee and enhance policies related to attorney transitions—including transfers, leaves, secondments, part-time programs, promotions, and departures. It calls for impeccable judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities for Legal Talent & HR Manager (Global Law Firm)

  • Act as the primary liaison for attorney transfers between New York, London, and D.C. offices.
  • Manage internal communications and tracking processes across key departments.
  • Coordinate with the Benefits team to support attorneys applying for disability leave.
  • Collaborate with partners to facilitate client and peer firm secondments.
  • Oversee the firm’s part-time attorney program, working closely with senior leadership.
  • Lead logistics for attorneys transitioning to alternative work arrangements.
  • Manage promotion and departure processes for non-partner legal staff and attorneys.

Key Requirements for Legal Talent & HR Manager (Global Law Firm)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of legal talent or professional services experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional service to attorneys at all levels.
  • High emotional intelligence with experience in mentoring and team leadership.
  • Exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn firm-specific talent management systems.
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while handling confidential information with discretion.
