Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Support the enforcement of site policies and procedures for the location, including those related to government facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
