Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated Civil Litigation Associate to join a boutique legal firm in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of litigation experience, although strong entry-level applicants may also be considered. The role primarily involves handling toxic tort, consumer class action, and various civil litigation cases.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
• Represent clients during depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met effectively.
• Provide support for toxic tort and consumer class action cases.
• Analyze case details and develop sound litigation strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients to address their legal needs.
• Participate actively in client meetings and case discussions.
• Adapt to a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining high-quality work.• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership with the state bar.
• 0–3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for toxic tort or consumer class action cases.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work in the office four days per week.
• Experience in conducting depositions and drafting motions.
• Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
