SUMMARY
The Product Manager, Licensing Programs (the PM) serves several important functions to manage Licensing program development and operations: ideation, product development, budget projections, operationalization, and maintenance. The PM partners with internal IIA teams to create and implement plans and business requirements for licensing IIA content and intellectual property. Major responsibilities also include operations, budgeting, product strategy, channel vendor management, and contract negotiation/management. Supports marketing, monitoring, compliance and protection of IIA IP, and working with IIA Finance team. Focuses on innovation in the Licensing product line and creating processes and project plans to support the future vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exploration of new revenue-generating strategies including creation of new content, modalities, products, and distribution avenues
- Manage operational processes for Licensing programs
- Drive process improvement to streamline the manual processes within Licensing; work in concert with MCL Operations team to integrate workflows
- Support GESP sales team in licensing content (OnDemand) and Digital Library
- Manage the development of budgets, forecasts, projections, and reports on the performance of licensing programs
- Project management of Partner Relationship Management (PRM)
- Coordinate with content-producing teams within the IIA to ensure adequate rights and then inclusion in licensing programs
- Work with portfolio management team to understand new products and licensing opportunities
- Negotiate contracts as needed for new programs
- Conduct periodic competitive market assessment for member benefits, learning content, and other IIA offerings to offer IIA content via new channels
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and execute product plans
- Partner with internal groups including National Institutes, Certifications, Membership, Finance, Chapter Relations, Marketing and Affiliates teams to share information and align efforts
- Develop executive summaries and dashboards to drive communication about the status of licensing programs
- Attend conferences as needed to meet with customers and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
- Mastery of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with instructional design models and methods.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience with contract management and vendor management.
- Strong project coordination / project management experience is preferred.
- Smartsheets experience is preferred.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., prompts, agents) preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Marketing or similar course of study. Five or more years of hands-on experience in product management, product development, project management, or a role that supports product revenue. Experience with an international organization is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Effective written, verbal, presentation development, and interpersonal communications skills as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret facilitator feedback that will be transformed into meaningful presentations. Ability to write business correspondence and work with IT and other staff professionals is required. A complete command of the English language, including grammar skills. Multiple language ability is an asset in any role with The IIA.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively propose and execute solutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written, mathematical, or diagram form, and create tangible representations of several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Expert ability to work in a computerized environment with a strong knowledge of most Microsoft Office products. Must have an aptitude to learn new software tools relating to project and content management.
