Job Description
Part-Time Daycare Substitute
We are seeking a dependable and flexiblePart-Time Substituteto join our daycare team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can step in to support classrooms as needed in a positive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support full-time staff in all classroom duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe, nurturing manner
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining an organized classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with allNew York State Daycare Regulations
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher, Director, and team members
- Help foster an atmosphere of goodwill, open communication, and teamwork
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience working with young children preferred
- Ability to be flexible and work in any classroom as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Schedule:
- Part-time, as needed (flexible/on-call substitute role)
- Center hours: 7:30 AM 5:30 PM
- Daily assignments based on the centers needs
- Preference for candidates with availability in the early afternoon through closing
