Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and play a key role in strengthening quality systems, improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, and enhancing supplier and customer quality.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical and analytical skills who can work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and customers.

What You’ll Do
\n
Warranty & Customer Quality
\n
- \n
- Manage the warranty and RMA process, from investigation through resolution.
- Analyze returned products to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with internal teams to reduce recurring quality issues and improve the customer experience.
- Translate customer quality requirements into actionable internal processes and documentation.

Quality Management Systems
\n

- Help lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Work with cross-functional teams to document processes, identify gaps, and establish clear procedures and responsibilities.
- Assist with QMS training materials and employee education.
\n
\n
\n
\n
ERP & Process Improvement
\n
- \n
- Represent the Quality function during ERP implementation and system upgrades.
- Help align ERP capabilities with quality processes and business requirements.
- Identify appropriate system tools and support implementation plans, timelines, and rollout activities.

\n
New Product Introduction
\n
- \n
- Lead quality activities associated with bringing new products into production.
- Support PFMEA, tolerance analysis, process capability studies, gage and test equipment development, and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Establish appropriate quality and data-collection requirements before products enter production.
\n
\n
\n
\n
Manufacturing Quality
\n
- \n
- Develop methods for monitoring process capability and product quality.
- Implement quality metrics and analytical tools such as First Pass Yield (FPY), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and process, product, and packaging audits.
- Analyze quality trends and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Material Review & Corrective Action
\n
- \n
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities for rejected or nonconforming materials.
- Coordinate material disposition, data analysis, supplier communication, and corrective actions.
- Identify trends and develop both immediate and long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

\n
\n
Supplier Quality
\n
- \n
- Oversee receiving inspection activities and supplier quality documentation.
- Manage quality records such as FAI, PPAP, and deviations.
- Initiate and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
- Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and monitor supplier performance.

Audits
\n

- Conduct internal product, process, and quality-system audits.
- Participate in supplier audits when needed.
- Document findings, communicate results, and monitor corrective actions through completion.

What You Bring
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or a comparable technical environment.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar quality-focused position.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Experience with MSA/Gage R&R.
- Working knowledge of SPC, process capability, and statistical quality tools.
- Experience with PFMEA and Control Plan development.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training is a plus.
- Supplier quality and/or internal auditing experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally; travel is expected to be less than 10%.
