Position Summary
The OKAG Ministry Network is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to join the Camp Cargill team in a part-time, seasonal capacity. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the camp property to ensure a welcoming and well-maintained environment for the many guests and groups served each year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mow lawns, trim weeds, and rake leaves in assigned areas.
- Inspect and remove debris and trash from grounds prior to mowing or maintenance activities.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the property.
- Trim and maintain bushes, shrubs, and hedges to preserve a neat appearance.
- Prepare soil and plant flowers, bushes, hedges, and shrubs as needed.
- Plant, maintain, and prune trees as required.
- Assist with the removal of trees when necessary.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to established guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep on landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Support general facility cleanliness and property upkeep.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and related tools.
- Ability to use hand tools associated with grounds maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, kneel, push, pull, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Must be able to safely operate landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
