Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Work within an engaging contract position, supporting early childhood and elementary students in a supportive, onsite environment.

Key Details:

• School-based contract position
• 37.5 hours per week, full school year commitment (ASAP – May 27, 2027)
• Two primary roles:
  • EC PCD Teacher (ages 3-4, Early Childhood)
  • ID Mild/Moderate Self-contained (Grades K-3)
• Positions are based at a vibrant primary school
• Candidates must hold the appropriate credentials for the respective role

Qualifications:

• Valid and active South Carolina Teaching License required
• Both Special Education and Early Childhood Degree/Certification needed for PCD (3-4yo) classroom
• Special Education Multi-Categorical Endorsement required for K-3 self-contained position
• Previous school-based experience preferred, especially in early childhood or multi-categorical special education settings
• Comfortable working onsite within a collaborative team
• Passion for fostering student growth, development, and achievement

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement differentiated instruction for students with diverse needs
• Develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
• Maintain documentation and compliance as required by the state and district
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
