🔍 Role Summary

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll help keep projects moving by supporting scheduling, procurement, documentation, and coordination efforts. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and vendors to ensure mechanical systems are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. This role offers hands-on exposure to both office and field operations.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical scopes
  • Track schedules, manpower needs, and delivery of materials/equipment
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain smooth project flow
  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and long-lead items
  • Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and miscellaneous project documentation
  • Manage project logs and digital files within systems like Procore and BIM/VDC platforms
  • Update cost reports, labor tracking, and progress summaries
  • Join jobsite walks and coordination meetings to stay informed on field activities
  • Ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and QA/QC recordkeeping
  • Help review invoices, purchase orders, and monthly billing packages
  • Participate in OAC and internal coordination meetings
  • Communicate schedule updates, impacts, and next steps with project stakeholders
  • Build positive working relationships through professionalism and strong communication

🎓 Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Motivated, proactive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Internship or co-op experience with a GC or mechanical contractor is a plus

This position is based in East Lyme, CT, supporting mechanical projects at the nearby Pfizer facility. While primarily office-based, you’ll periodically visit the jobsite to gain firsthand project insights.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of East Lyme, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
