Core Responsibilities
- Firmware Design & Analysis Support: Assist in the design, development, and testing of digital circuits and embedded systems, with a focus on microcontrollers, FPGAs, and Software Defined Radios.
- Documentation & Specification: Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, codebases, design specifications, and design review materials.
- Testing and Validation: Perform hands-on lab work using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters) to debug, troubleshoot, and validate electronic hardware performance.
- Component Management: Research and analyze component obsolescence issues and support the identification of replacement parts in compliance with project and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, RF, mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless system integration and performance.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of professional or academic experience (equivalent internships and work programs) in microelectronics, microcontrollers, embedded systems, or integrated circuit design and testing.
- Technical Skills: Experience working in a lab environments, familiarity with basic RF lab tools and procedures, and familiarity with microelectronics CAD tools and or VHDL/Verilog for FPGAs or ASICs.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
