SUMMARY:
The Cultivation Irrigator is responsible for ensuring plants receive the correct amount of water and nutrients at every growth stage, supporting healthy development and strong yields. This role monitors irrigation systems, mixes and tracks nutrient solutions, and performs hands-on watering as needed while inspecting plants for hydration or system issues. The Irrigator also assists with general cultivation tasks after irrigation duties are complete, supporting efficient greenhouse operations and regulatory readiness. Success in this role requires attention to detail, reliability, and comfort working in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (this list is not all inclusive)
· Manages daily watering needs across all plant stages, using PRIVA, Dosatron, and manual watering where necessary.
· Monitors irrigation schedules and coordinate timing with the Cultivation Manager or Grower.
· Mixes daily nutrient batches according to direction and ensure accurate measurements and documentation.
· Walks rows to identify dry pots; tag plants, correct irrigation stakes, and re-water as needed.
· Measures and record pH/EC readings daily, ensuring levels remain within target ranges.
· Inspects flagged plants and assist in troubleshooting irrigation line, stake, or emitter issues.
· Supports cultivation activities once irrigation duties are complete, including:
§ cloning, pot filling, transplanting, and soil prep
§ topping, defoliating, pruning, and trellising
§ staging and spacing plants for flowering transition
· Verifies irrigation placement when plants move from veg to flower; ensure all emitters are functioning.
· Tracks, weighs, and records plant waste accurately.
· Assists with harvest activities including cutting, hanging, and organizing plants by batch.
· Maintains clean and organized workspaces, tools, and equipment throughout the shift.
· Follows safety protocols and regulatory standards in all work areas.
· Executes ad hoc projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Constantly: Walking rows, standing, grasping tools, bending, visual inspection, hand-eye coordination, repetitive motions, communicating with team.
· Frequently: Stooping, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., carrying hoses or buckets, reaching overhead, moving plants and pots.
· Occasionally: Climbing short ladders, moving heavier objects with assistance, working in warm/humid greenhouse environments, navigating uneven terrain.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and tolerate greenhouse/warehouse temperatures above 75°ree;F.
· Ability to walk on uneven terrain and move between greenhouse, processing, and office areas.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Experience in agriculture, irrigation, greenhouse, or plant care preferred.
· Familiarity with PRIVA/Dosatron or automated watering systems is a plus (training provided).
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age per state regulations and pass a criminal background Check.
