Position Overview:
Term: Full time
Location: Parkville, MO
Pay: $90,000 - $120,000
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a Mid-Level API Developer to design, develop, and maintain API integrations that support our enterprise systems, especially SAP. The ideal candidate has experience working with SOAP and RESTful APIs, handles data in JSON/XML formats, and has a solid foundation in API testing, scripting, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with analytics, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability.
What you’ll do as the API Developer:

- Develop and maintain robust, secure, and scalable APIs using SOAP and REST protocols.
- Work with JSON and XML data structures to enable reliable data exchange.
- Integrate and interface APIs with SAP systems and third-party platforms.
- Write and execute test cases using API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Swagger).
- Create scripts using Python and PowerShell to support automation and integration.
- Collaborate with BI teams to enable API-based data feeds for Power BI and Tableau dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues across environments (dev, QA, production).
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for API development.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for internal use and support handoffs.
What you will bring to the team:
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in API development and integration.
- Strong knowledge of SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML.
- Experience working with SAP systems and understanding of typical SAP data structures and workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or similar API testing frameworks.
- Experience with Power BI and Tableau integrations is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
