Care Professional (Weekend Shifts) – Home Instead, St. George, UT
As a Care Professional at Home Instead in St. George, you will play an important role in supporting the changing needs of aging adults in Southern Utah. This role allows seniors in our community to receive the long-term care and support they need while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.
We welcome individuals with all levels of experience and provide paid training along with ongoing professional development. We are especially looking for Care Professionals with weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care in the client’s home
- Assist with personal hygiene, transfers, and mobility support as needed
- Offer companionship and meaningful engagement
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support clients with dementia or memory loss through personalized care plans
- Document tasks and observations according to policy
- Communicate effectively with the scheduling and client care teams
- Represent Home Instead’s mission and values in every interaction
- Create meaningful moments by helping clients experience what a “great day” looks like for them
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift, transfer, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Commitment to reliability and consistent attendance, including weekends
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with older adults or in a caregiving role (formal or informal)
- Familiarity with personal care and dementia-related support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compensation & Benefits
- $16.00–$18.00 per hour
Paid orientation and ongoing training
