Location: Boston, New York, or Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Health Care Litigation Associate to join an Am Law 100 firm’s Litigation practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3+ years of complex litigation experience, particularly involving healthcare enforcement matters, government investigations, and False Claims Act (FCA) litigation.

The position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated healthcare-related disputes and investigations within a collaborative, nationally recognized litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • Support and conduct False Claims Act (FCA) investigations, including internal investigations involving healthcare fraud, government inquiries, and qui tam actions

  • Manage discovery, including document review strategy and execution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Conduct research and analysis related to healthcare enforcement trends, compliance regulations, and state fraud and abuse laws

  • Collaborate with litigation team members across offices to develop case strategy and deliver client-focused solutions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of complex litigation experience, including government enforcement or white-collar matters

  • Experience with healthcare litigation or FCA matters strongly preferred

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Bar admission (or eligibility) in MA, NY, or DC

  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule with approximately 60% in-office presence

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $310,000–$365,000

  • Bonus eligible
