Job Summary:
The Flatwork Feeder is responsible for feeding clean, semi-dry linens into the flatwork ironer while maintaining quality and efficiency standards in a high-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift or pull linens (small and large) from the trough.
- Identify and straighten the feed edge, aligning corners for consistent feeding.
- Smooth and position linens on the feed table to avoid creases during ironing.
- Visually inspect linens for defects before feeding.
- Stage and prepare the next product for continuous workflow.
- Occasionally assist the catcher by folding and stacking finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area.
- Report mechanical issues to Supervisor for repair or maintenance.
- Ensure product quality and meet daily production goals.
- Support other tasks within the department as needed.
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Training period of 26 weeks to become proficient with machinery, quality standards, and department procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Use of gross motor and fine finger dexterity to handle linens.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 22 lbs.
- Frequent twisting, bending, squatting, walking, and some work at heights.
- Perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
- Support Supervisor in maintaining production control, safety standards, and quality processes.

Work Environment:
- Indoor plant setting: conditions may be hot and humid.
- Awareness of moving machinery parts and other safety considerations is essential.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
